A recent report by the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue documents a concerning rise in incidents of intimidation and aggression targeting Christian communities throughout 2024. Physical attacks, vandalism, and desecration of churches have been reported, with the majority of perpetrators identified as young men from ultra-Orthodox and national-religious circles.

The Christian population in Israel stands at approximately 180,000, about 1.8% of the total population. A significant portion of this community is considering emigration due to escalating discrimination and violence, as well as the overall deterioration of the socio-political situation.

The Rossing Center’s report emphasizes the need for greater support and protection of Christian communities in the Holy Land. It calls for mutual understanding, dialogue, and concrete steps by stakeholders to address the challenges faced by these communities.
