Support the Christian Presence in the Holy Land
For more than 150 years the Popes, including the present Holy Father, have given our Order the unique mission of supporting the embattled Christian Community in the Holy Land. Each knight, dame, and knight chaplain is expected to support that Community by prayers, by being actively engaged in the works and mission of the Order, and by financial contributions in support of our mission. We cannot stress too strongly the importance of the annual charitable contribution, which is forwarded to the Grand Magisterium in Rome to be used to support the works of the Latin Patriarch. Special Lieutenancy Projects
From time to time, the Lieutenancy responds to specific needs and opportunities through special projects, often in collaboration with other partners and organizations.
One example is a substantial legacy gift made to Bethlehem University in honor of Cardinal Foley, a former Grand Master of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. These special initiatives allow the Lieutenancy to address unique needs and create lasting impact.
Humanitarian Projects
Each year, the Latin Patriarch identifies urgent humanitarian needs requiring immediate assistance. The Lieutenancy supports these efforts by responding to crises and providing aid to vulnerable communities throughout the Holy Land.
